Oh Maui given that list they gave, I'm not sure anyone can say they are not a clutterer! I could check off a few! Honestly, that's a pretty hard test they gave. I just thought the site was interesting. I did not know they had a 12 step program for this. Seems extreme for a clutterer.

I am not a clutterer thanks to this test. My problem is the lack of "somewhere" to put "certain" stuff and it just clutters an area. I don't find everything as valuable. I don't have that much stuff, what I do want....I have to "place" for it.
Nice article cause now I know I have 2 cousins who need to read this information.

Hello, my name is Ceashels and I am a clutterer.

There I said it and I feel better. I don't have time to go through the site yet but the first few questions are pointing me in "that" direction.

    Thank you for the link.

~Worse than I thought. I answered yes to 7 of the 25 questions. At least the last question was a no and the clutter problem is getting better, not worse.~

Not a clutterer at all. I answerd no to all. I have a reputation in my family of always giving away stuff or cleaning out. My parents actually think that is a bad quality. Considering my parents have to rent a storage unit for all their stuff, always doing a garage sale, buying more junk at all kinds of sales, having a hard time giving up anything, because 'some day they might use it or need it' and their house if full of useless junk, I will gladly accept my bad reputation.

It's constant work, especially with kids, keeping up with cleaning out things, but I have to do it. There is still many things I would like to clean out and donate, but my dh would flip if it had to do with anything his family gave us.

I can thank my parents for it actually. They have said to us sisters that they try to clean out stuff, so when they do pass, me and my sisters won't have to deal with cleaning out their house.

With our chores growing up, I hated dusting so many shelves having to remove tons of rooster decorations, ceramics, and the collections of laterns to actually find the dust. No space in the closets to hang my few clothes because my parents clothes hung in all of me and my sisters closets. Like they planned on wearing those shoes from the 50's again and maybe the clothes might fit again.*sigh*

I told myself that when I have a family, I would not hold on to stuff that I didn't need, that was useless to me and my family, and I would find someone that actually needed it.

Dusting all that kind of stuff was a weekly chore at our house. I hated it!

Didn't have to worry about my closet being taken over though.
