    Default Idea for Man's Closet

I had an idea the other day when I was taking the closet rod out of my son's closet (the one we are turning into an office nook). We have his & her closets in the master bedroom, so we will both have our own. I am going to move the existing rod up a little higher in my husband's closet, then put the extra one about halfway down so that he can hang two rows of clothes.

I was always annoyed by the wasted space under my husband's clothes in the closet - now we can use that space. If he doesn't have enough to fill both rows, I can hang extra jackets and sweaters in there.

I just have to measure the length of his suit jackets to make sure I leave enough space between rows.

If he doesn't have enough clothes to fill one rod - put the rod higher and put a dresser in there if it fits. One stop dressing area.

I wanted to hang second rods in my daughter's closet, but found that I'd need to anchor it somehow because it was just drywall. The main existing rods were reinforced with a wood frame that was nailed around near the top of the closet. It was easier and cheaper for me to buy the closet rod doublers.
