    Default Fess up, keyboard crumbs

If you were to turn over your keyboard & gently shake would you get some crumb action? Would they be there because of you?
I confess, I eat breakfast (sometimes) & lunch (almost always) here at the keyboard & yes the crumbs are mine... I try to be neat but I guess some of those crumbs have a mind of their own...

Time to clean the 'puter table too. Too much junk finds it's way here also. Mmm... 2 emery boards, bobby pin, tv remote, papers, snow globe, rubber duck key chain, pencils, pen, little plastic dinosaur... Yep, time to clean.

    You?

Nope. Brand new keyboard. Gabe just got it for me last weekend after I accidentally spilled a coffee. Again. LOL

Guilt as charged. I usually shake it out about once a week.

Me too! But I also clean up DH's 3 keyboards when I clean the one I use most.

Geez, if I shook out my keyboard, then I'd have to get out the vacuum to clean up the floor. I prefer to think that the crumbs will be a small but valuable contribution to the social and culinary history of twenty-first century America when the keyboard is dug up by future archeologists. They can study them and then they can do the vacuuming.

The crumbs are mostly from the kids. I have asked them not to eat at my laptop but then forget they aren't supposed to when I see them doing it.

The desktop keyboard didn't work anymore when we unpacked the computer, so we just got a new one that is hopefully crumb-free

Nope, okay here. I just gave it a shake.......and nothing.

I don't eat at the keyboard...........and drinks are not put on the desk.........only on file cabinet that sits 'away' from 'puter.

I eat breakfast at my desk at work everyday and holy cow the crumbs.

a few months ago one of the VP's had a "can" of air and O My Gosh! I was so embarrassed by all the nasties that came out of my keyboard.

I just did the shake test and no crumbs! I do eat, especially lunch and sometimes a snack, at the computer. I just push the keyboard up close to the monitor so nothing falls on it. Now I am ashamed to admit how many times someone in my family has spilled tea, coffee, or water on a keyboard. Sometimes, they work later but usually they end up in the computer graveyard.
