    Default Garage

Cleaning out the garage.. Can't believe how much stuff I still have. I have gotten rid of so much stuff too. Want to get it cleared out and "arranged" in time for the family birthday party mid to late April. Not sure if I can, but I am hopeful. Wish me luck! Have some horrid before pictures and will take some after (if I remember)...

Our garage is always a nightmare. Well, dh has way too much stuff and is a slob to be honest. Last year he spent his vacation cleaning it and tossing stuff. It's looking a little messy again, so hopefully he will get it done on a weekend!

    Have fun and good luck!

I think that "stuff" multiplies to fit the available space.

I need to do this as well. My garage is such a dumping ground!! Its the last landing spot before I actually get rid of something, its the housing of boxes of all sizes (what is my obsession with keeping boxes??) its dirty and very messy. There's only one section that is organized, that is the Christmas section. Everything over there is in totes, labeled, nice and neat. The rest is a pit.

Thanks for the inspiration, I'm adding it to my to-do list for one of the first nice days.

I have been working on my garage/workshop since January (off and on) and I have to tell you it is very satisfying to get things organized. I still have a lot to do, but now I can walk in and know where to go for whatever I am looking for. Kind of waiting for decent weather here to go through the rest of it so I can take things outside and decide what to do with them.

You will love it when it is done!

No matter how many times I clean it out, it always fills back up. I have decided the best way to stop the cycle is to stop cleaning it.

I cannot believe how much CARDBOARD I have. Boxes, inserts, food cases(the ones canned food come in), and the list goes on. I also realized that I had a bunch of bedding that had been hiding. WOW! It is almost and I mean ALMOST like Christmas. Cannot have the youngest "helping" though. She thinks she should keep EVERYTHING! LOL.. Glad to see I am not the only one with one of "those" garages...

We have slowly been working on our garage since February. It is a two steps forward one step back process.

Once the weather is warm we will be able to accomplish more. The garage is very chilly right now and we try not to run our heater with the price of diesel.

    Good luck with your garage!

    WTG!

I'd agree that the hardest part is keeping it clean!

I have visions in my head of a really neat & organized garage, with the bikes hanging on hooks, and shelves, etc... but I'm way too cheap to actually buy that type of organization stuff....
