Where & how do you store/organize your make up/cosmetics?
Where does everyone store their make up - in the bathroom, in the bedroom or a make up table?
And how do you store it - loosely in a drawer, in baskets, make up bag or one of those tackle boxes that cascades up and out? (kinda like this: http://www.artistikonline.com/i//TS73_LG.jpg)
Hmm...how much make up do you have?2012: The Year Of The Purge!

I bought a clear lucite type basket with a handle and sections. It holds all of my makeup. Most of which I never wear. This is kept in a closet just outside the bathroom. Really keeps everything organized and clean.
I found the basket at a thrift store.

I bought a little plastic cosmetics case with a lift out tray and keep everything in that, in the bathroom. I own very little makeup.
Skin creams, perfume, eye drops, q-tips, etc are in a basket covered with a pretty towel on the side of the sink.Use it up, Wear it out,

I have a small square-ish nylon zip-up makeup bag that's shaped like a little soft cooler lunchbox. It has just one main compartment and a smaller zip-up pocket in the lid which is enough for me because I only keep makeup I wear. It sits on my bathroom counter. I've had that thing for many many years and will probably have it for many many years more. I like it because I can easily throw it in my suitcase for travel without having to re-pack everything.

My bathroom has a built-in vanity with drawers. I use separate drawer organizers for lipsticks, shadows, pencils, etc. On the vanity top I have a makeup mirror, an apothecary jar for cotton rounds and q-tips, and a vase with glass beads to hold my makeup brushes. I love sitting down to do my makeup in the mornings.

I've got mine in the bedroom, on my bureau in a basket of sorts. I use minimal makeup so it's all there and easily accessible.

I bought an old art deco vanity off of Kijiji. I store my makeup on one side and my hair stuff on the other. It's nice to have a secondary place to get ready, as there are three females in this house and only one bathroom!
ETA: This is in my bedroom!

I keep my essential make-up in a make-up bag which I can then throw into my handbag/gym bag if needs be. Anything more fancy that I would not wear on a daily basis is kept in a small-ish box with a magnetic closing clasp that once housed nail-polishes. I don't have an excessive amount of make-up by any means; I don't keep anything I wouldn't wear.
All my make-up lives on a low book shelf in my bedroom beside the mirror where I put the stuff on and beside a little wicker-type basket full of my face-lotions, including eye-cream and moisturiser which I put on before my make-up. All my fiddly things are in these types of baskets.2012

I have a small wicker vanity with a mirror on it in my room all my make up is on that. I got little storage things from the dollar store one for my eye shadows and blush/bronzer. Then I have two big cups one for mascara/eyeliner and one for lip stuff and then a vase type thing for brushes everything else is just on the top of the vanity.

Remember those "kaboodles"? I think that was the name of them. Plastic, bright colors... Anyway's, I kept my dau's blue & purple one with a fold out drawer..that's what I use. Make up I don't use much, are stored in ziplocs in a basket below the BR sink.

I don't use a lot of makeup, even though I perform on stage a couple times per month.
I have a small make-up bag that holds the stuff I don't use very often... like cover up, foundation, and eye shadow and lipstick colors that I don't often use.
In my bathroom, I have a round silver tray. In the center of the tray, I have a round silver basket that's about 4" diameter (yard sale finds). I keep my most often used make-up in that basket, then hair brush and stuff like that on the tray around it. The tray sits on an antique dresser in the bathroom that we use for linen storage since this old house has few closets.
For make-up that I need on the go, as for touch-ups before going on stage, I just take that stuff in a zip-lock baggie.

I have a small clear lucite organizer that I love which sits on the counter next to my bathroom sink. It holds all my everyday makeup and I keep a few things in a small pocket in my purse. Everything else is in a drawer (where there are some more organizers) or in the cabinet below the sink.
