Default What is your favorite room?

I have lived in over 7 apartments. Out of all of them the bathroom was always the worst room. Different colored sink, toilet and bathtub combined with horrible multi-colored tile.

So the apartment I am in now I really love. Everything was replaced, new carpet, refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, kitchen cabinets, and new toilet, sink, vanity, bathtub, tiles. It felt great to have a place where everything is brand new and somewhat stylish.

Now my bathroom is my favorite room. Odd as it may seem it feels great to have a bathroom where things actually match and I was able to get a "spa" like feel with the accessories.

So what is your favorite room and why?

It actually outside my home. It's the breezeway. We have a wicker sofa and loveseat set up to lookout on our shade garden. The shade garden banks up to the breezeway. In the shade garden is a Japanese Maple that has been shaped like a bonsai tree. A very Asian feel. Talk about serenity, it's perfection.

It's the living room for us; comfy couches and chairs, t.v., lots of family pictures, cozy lighting and a picture window.

    Living room for me, too.

It was the first room to be decorated when we moved in and the colour scheme is warm and vibrant. It feels very homely; lovely TV, great surround sound, video game consoles at our disposal, a lava lamp and a framed poster (both of which have sentimental value to us), photos, comfy sofas and big cushions.

The bedroom or kitchen because I'm not fond of our living room. I spend a lot of my time in either room because it's cozy too me.

For me it's also outside - our patio/veg. garden area is my favorite. It's the only space on the whole property we can all be at the same time without feeling like we're on top of one another.
Plus, coffee in the morning in view of the garden is very relaxing for all of us.

I would have to say the little area at the end of the kitchen. It is where my computer is. I can see the back yard to the left and to the right my son's bedroom with a big bay window in it that looks out on the front yard. This space is by far the sunniest in the house.

I have a heated side porch that I love. It has three walls of windows and my ex husband had refinished two of my grandmothers "bouncer" chairs for me years ago. I love to sit in that room and well, just sit. I don't read, I don't eat, I don't really focus on anything.

My favorite is our family room. We have a big fireplace flanked by cherry bookcases. Along the back wall is a huge picture window with a perfect view of the lake and 2 sets of french doors that open onto the screen porch. It is also opened to the kitchen and breakfast area thru a series of arches. I love it, its the heart of our home.

My bedrooms have always been my favorite room. I put my most prized photos in there, comfy clothes are in there, reading lamp and books to read, blankets, pillows, I have a mattress pad heater, I just love my bedroom. When the girls were young they would come in and sit on my bed or lay on my bed to talk. I don't ever have a tv in the bedroom but I do have a radio for when I'm cleaning it or getting ready in the morning.

My living room, even though it doesn't have my final furniture in there (hey, we've only lived here 11 years, after all!)

It has a row of bookcases against the wall and I have a glider rocker and ottoman in there. Plus my hubby has his houseplants in front of the bay window in there. Very peaceful room.

    I love my bathroom

pedestal sink original claw foot tub with cloth shower curtain ( like in hotels) all white along with the cabinets and lace curtains.

the walls and the floor are a very pretty medium blue. There is a white wainscoting with a white elaborate carved chair railing

The window can let in a breeze or just sunlight what ever you want.

It is stuff dreams are made of. And it was that way when we moved in.

I also love the living room as that is where the family is and the new sofa loveseat is so comfy and pretty.
