Talking If you like mystery novels....

    ~Here's an awesome project: Videos
I want one of these so much! Of course I also want a two story home library and in-ground pool. A least this project is somewhat frugal. ~

    That's really neat!

My Sister used to live in an old house that had all kinds of stuff like that. It was a really old home that had been built on to as each child married and had a family of their own. Lots of hidden cubbie holes, planks that came up from the floor that had a hidden hiding hole (found an old box in there) A room that you entered under the stairwell (my Sister stored her Christmas stuff in there) and they built this indent in the upstairs hallway that you slide a dry sink in, when the dry sink was pulled out there was a door that was about 3 foot high. The door opened into a full size room with no windows. Now it's well known that this area was part of the underground railroad so this was likely a stop on the way to freedom. My old 5th -6th grade? teacher lived in a home that was part of the underground railroad and as kids we took a tour of her home and grounds.

Our home was built 1950 and it has a hidden loft. You enter through our bedroom. You'd never know it was there unless we showed you. Always a big thrill for people the first time they come to our house. Why there is a hidden loft is beyond me, but it's there.
