It's a guy thing, lol. When he wants a fridge in there you'll know someone really has a problem.
I had to laugh at the title of the thread, my first thought wow, must be nice to have room for one, lol. Where I'm at now there is only room for a toilet, sink, stall shower and one towel rack.

    Um ... crazy, perhaps.

If you have time to watch TV while you're trying to do your business, perhaps you weren't ready to go in and occupy the bathroom. I thought for men, it was totally about the whole in and out mission type thing?

BTW: You can let him have his TV in the bathroom - he never said he wanted it hooked up so he could watch programs on it.

So allowing the TV will only encourage him to stay longer in there - that could turn out to be hazardous to your health.

I'll never understand men and their need to "camp out" in the bathroom. Maybe we should be feeding them laxatives to help speed up their "business."

I know several people who have them in their master bathrooms. I enjoy relaxing in the tub with my favorite shows on.

Haha I'd be afraid of water getting on it and ruining it!!

I would meet him halfway. Put in the bookshelf, fill it with his favorite magazines and books, and leave the electronics out of the wet environment!

I think the humidity may kill a flat screen tv.

I've always wondered about the houses that have a wooden dresser or make up table in the bathroom as well - wouldn't the humidity kill that too? Same with a wooden bookshelf?

I've threatened to fine one of my sons for reading in the bathroom. No way would I put in a tv. He'd probably start sleeping in there.

IMO, it's your house and his, and the two of you can do whatever you want with the bathroom and it's no one else's business. However, be careful because if he puts in a small TV, he may end up going whole hog and remodeling the bathroom into one of these:

I was thinking more down the line of the electronics & water condensation in the television. There could be some safety issues to address too when putting something like this near water. Just something to consider. I know I had a lot of problems when I spilled some water into the monitor of my netbook. Sure didn't do it any favors and it's all splotchy where I didn't get it dried out fast enough.
