$5 tool sets at Lowes
Saw these this morning. They had a display near the entrance advertising $5 and $10 tool gift sets. There were 4 or 5 of the $5 sets with different tools, from 3 to 10 piece sets with screwdrivers, pliers, box knives, wrenches, measuring tape, etc. plus packs of drill bits and socket sets. These would be great gifts for the home handyman or woman, you know, the person who is always looking for a screwdriver or needs a razor blade scraper for something but who doesn't have a full professional tool trunk already. I was tempted to buy some for myself just to round out my kitchen toolbox! The prices are really good.

Thank you for posting this, these are a great price for little sets . I am looking for one for around the kitchen so I don't have to go out to the garage to the big tool box.

what a great idea! I just got back from the other side where Loewe's is and don't know if I am going back this week - if I do I shall definitely stop by and pick some up.

Those are great ‘round the house’ kits. But if you have a heavy-duty tool user, they aren’t the right gift.

I'm always suspicious of cheap tools. They tend to break right when you need them the most.
