    Lightbulb Simplify Saturday!

~Another day of decluttering will bring us closer to our goals!
    Today's mission? Removing duplicates.
Think about it. Do you really use all 8 of those spatulas? Are all 5 of those gardening books useful to you or do you generally refer to just two or three of them? 10 black tops may be overkill as well.
No item goal today , just an exercise in thinking. Of course, you should part with something. ~

    LOL...a great exercise!

I got rid of my duplicates years ago and it's amazing how much space it can save. Often, when we are cluttered, we can't find things and so we wind up purchasing duplicates to replace what was lost. Eventually, of course, the original item shows up and now you've got two. Until you lose them again...

Good luck to everyone in purging those duplicates!

Just threw out a wallet I had. Have a total of three wallets right now. Will be going through more stuff today and hopefully getting rid of things. Such as empty shoes boxes.

Right now I am to comfy with the cat on my lap.

It was extremely hard to do...but I parted with one of my crinolines today, lol. It was one I had found at a garage sale for $1. It was also ripped and the zipper was broken, so that I had to safety pin it. I have a brand-new one my sis wore once to her wedding.

Since my reenactment dress is already poofy on its on, and I rarely wear a crinoline on my tours (usually just to special events, and if its too special, like a ball or ladies' tea, I wear my hoop) I don't really need two.

It took up a LOT of room, and wasn't even in good enough condition that I feel I could donate it...so off to the trash it went! It was sort of liberating in a way, lol.

~I went through the baby's basket of clothes today. We had an influx of hand-me-downs over the last couple of months and I saved only what I really, really liked. I thought I did such a good job of being a minimalist at the time. Toddlers do go through clothes in a hurry but she was only wearing half of the things in the basket. So I put 8 of the items in the donate bag and sent another 6 items to storage. ~
