Spray In Insulation
I am "BEAT"!! Getting too old and overweight to be doing such as this.
Today from 9:00 to 4:00 today we were installing spray-insulation in
1/2 of our attic to make up for not having enough put in when we added on several years ago.
I have loaded on some pics of our back porch after the hose came off of the sprayer 2-3 times (my fault). Needless to say we have insulation EVERYWHERE. Too much work for us to be doing now. Back in our 20's-40's we were Weekend Warriors. Always doing something ourselves. But time has caught up with us I am afraid. The Weekend Warrior in us is not of the Warrior type any longer. But we still do things that we probably should not be doing.
Tomorrow is clean up day for the back porch. Tonight is will just stay as is. We did get the shovel out and at least cleaned up most of the insulation. The porch will get the water hose treatment tomorrow.Hello from Sunny Central Florida

I hear ya! I stripped everything off my king-sized bed, took the mattress and box springs off the frame, moved the frame and all the boxes under the bed to clean. I spent the day washing everything and hanging out to dry. I have vacuumed the carpet where the bed was.
NOW I am waiting for hubby to come home and help me put the bed back together. Then I will still have to make the bed before I can get into it tonight. I am getting WAY too old for this stuff!
The back porch will be there tomorrow!

Mary- We do not have a king sized bed, only a queen. I am quite sure that I would not be able to man-handle a bed that size either. I don't even think that I would have been able to get the bed unassembled. I can barely get my queen adjusted.
Traci - "Weekend Weary-ors" TOO FUNNY! I have just got to remember that one.Hello from Sunny Central Florida

That is one heck of a job... Greebo and I did it a few years ago as well and took turns at filling the machine or spraying in the attic. It made a huge difference in the comfort of our home and though you may be weary from the work you will be happy with the results of your efforts.
Recommend: many hot baths
The Free Spirit Saver who walks the path with Greebo.
Onboard with a modified Dave Ramsey Plan
Budget: "Every month! On paper, on purpose!"
