Declutter

I was inspired by the other thread about decluttering and getting organized. I have decided that I pass a Goodwill 3times a week. I will stop there everytime I go to town and drop something off. It might only be on thing but by the end of the month that is 12 items out of the house and the end of the year, 144! That is if I just donate the minimum! wow! that will help I think. Doing a whol room or something can be overwhelming for me sometimes because I just have so much stuff but giving up one thing wont seem so bad

That's a great idea! I got rid of so much stuff in the past year and I feel so much better for it! You will too!!

I've been keeping a box in an obvious, convenient place and adding stuff to it as I come across it. It helps a lot and it's pretty painless because most of the items are not things that end up in the donation box from having to sort through a bunch of stuff, it's just stuff that I spot that I realize in that instant I'd like to donate, so in the box it goes. Before long the box is full with little effort, and I just close it up and drop it off.

All my "stuff" is in PODs in my drive as we are having house painted, carpeted, etc. I am loving all the space and I may just have a POD sale!

How is the decluttering going for you?

We've managed to get 3 car loads of stuff out of the house so far this year... I've been slacking lately but hope to get another load out this next "weekend"
