    MY Genius moment (enjoy)

For the last few days i couldn't figure out why my bathtub was stopped and slowly draining. I tried plunging, hot water and dawn soap, liquid plumber, vinegar and baking soda. Nothing really worked that well. This morning i was going to call maintainence. Boy am i glad i didn't ! Under the faucet i noticed the lever under it wasn't pressed all the way down. I pushed it down and MAGIC ! it drained ~~sigh~~

Well, at least its not clogged now...LOL

AND you didn't have to pay someone to find that info out.

We've all had those moments. We thought our central air went out. Come to find out (on our own w/o having to pay) the fuses needed to be replaced.

we all have 'moment's ours happened on grocery day. we'd went to town to get a few things and I was putting them in the fridge when the light went out ... I'm thinking 'hummm the bulb is out need to report it' then didn't think anything else about it... did question if power was off... dh said no 'tv's still on' so the next mornng dd gets up and says 'mom the milk is just coo'...so I get an 'ah ha' moment and go check the fuse box sure nuff when ds turned off the washer he accidently flipped the wrong switch but failed to turn it back to on.... we only lost about six half pint of milk my mom had given the kids (don't know why it is but food in small portions just tickles them to pieces' she pours some in the sink.... oh mama chunky milk...yummm. ewwwwwwwwwwww

I am left handed. Every once in awhile I will turn the dial on the washer backwards and get the dial out of sink (its old anyway).
Have also thought the washer was broken. It has a switch off if the load goes out of balance.

My current not so bright moment...I have misplaced my cell phone. It's turned off. I tried dialing it with the house phone. It would be in a pocket, my purse, or on the table. It is in none of those places. I know I had it yesterday. Not much will get done here today, till I find that phone. I have gone through the truck 2x now, and will do it again shortly. I rarely use the phone, but when I need it, I need it. Sigh. I just made a list of where I ran errands yesterday. If I don't find it soon here, I will make a few calls.

I'm good at standing in the elevator but not pressing any buttons. As if its supposed to know where I want to go. Sometimes I'll even think to myself "oh shoot...I hope its not broke...why isn't it moving...."

I'm good at turning the dials on the toaster oven but not remembering to plug it back in to the power outlet. The little timer thing will tick tick tick DING! But nothing is cooked. Which of course results in me staring at the toaster oven wondering Oh Shoot do I have to buy a new one?!

Yah, I suck at this money stuff, I know. That's why I'm here.

About 2 hours of looking for the phone, I finally found it. I now have 3 loads of laundry done and hung outside and a very clean truck. Phone was not in the truck. Big sigh.

I think we all have too much on our plates sometimes........

I always say when I cannot find something (sometimes looking for hours) I will only find it when I quit looking for it. It works everytime.

Now you sound like me! I'm glad the problem got solved. Like previous posters, I often can't figure out why my toast didn't toast in the toaster oven.
