What do you use for cleaning products?
I'm looking to go "back to the basics" with cleaners. I'm looking to save some money by not buying all the commercial products.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks!

The only cleaning products i use are
laundry detergent
dish wash liquid
all-purpose cleaner (awesome)
vinegar
baking soda
water
that's all...
I found this cleaner "awesome" for $1 and it is really good. I use it for cleaning anything and everything.. bath, kitchen counter tops, sink, oven top , toilet, floor etc..

Alisa,
Thanks for posting your list. Could you please tell me what you use to clean what? And which cleaners (and in what proportion) you mix? I know it's not safe to mix some, and it would be just my luck to mix the wrong ones! LOL

ok!! no problem!

my fave cleaner is just vineger and water. mix equal parts of vinegar and water in a spray bottle.
i use baking soda to clean sinks and bathtubs. works great!!
never never mix ammonia and bleach!!!! never!
i use bleach on the counters about once a week. i use vinegar on the other days.
i have not used ammonia too much around the house. you have to be careful cause it has a very strong smell. make sure you use it in a well venulated area. last night i tried to clean the oven with it. i put a bowl of ammonia in the over and let it sit. well after a few hours the whole house smelled like ammonia.....not very good!! but the oven was really easy to wipe clean....lol

I use Laundry soap, dish washer detergent, dish soap, boraxo, vinegar, baking soda and bleach.
I used to buy Jet dry for the dishwasher until I tried vinegar in it and my glasses and everything come out squeaky clean with no spots.
