    Talking Want ideas please!

    We bought my ils dining room set. The table will need redoing, we plan to keep it the same color.
    The chairs had ratain in their backs.
    The cats and age have really done a number on the backs.
    I want to take the ratan out of them and replace them with a material cushion in the apple pattern I am doing in my home.
    I am not explaining this well at all.
    I either want to take out the rattan or make covers for the tops of the chairs.
    Any ideas on how to do this?
    PS can you tell I do not know how to spell rattan????

    can you make a plywood insert for the back of the chair and insert where the Rattan is. That is what i would do then cover that with batting and your fabric. should be easy to do. I know what i am thinking hope you do too.

    I am toying with the idea of doing them in blue stripes material. Perhaps I will buy different chairs for the kitchen, and paint them prhaps stencil the apples in a bowl theme on the seat.... so many ideas!
