Would you?????
Take apart something some one gave you to make something else?
I am asking too late but this is why I ask.
My sil made me a sunflower plant deal years ago.
Well I have a old blue metal (splatter ware???) coffee pot my mil gave me.
I tore the sunflowers and floral foam out of the clay pot (just basic nondecrative pot) and put them in the coffee pot.
It looks so cute! Just as neat as I thought it would!
The idea struck me last night and so while I was on my spurt this morning (see my morning post!
) I just tore into it and got it done!
Now should I feel guilty over doing this???

Nope. No guilt. You took a gift (which is yours to do whatever way you want) and created something you enjoy even more.
That's not saying you disliked it the original way. You liked it enough to use it in another way to have it last even longer.
That's how I see it.If you'd like to help support Frugal Living by Sara Noel, my syndicated column, e-mail, write, or call the managing editor at your local newspaper and ask them to publish it in print or online. OR you truly disliked the wretched thing and were just about to toss it and redid it and now like it. LMAO
In which case, I still wouldn't feel guilty. heheIf you'd like to help support Frugal Living by Sara Noel, my syndicated column, e-mail, write, or call the managing editor at your local newspaper and ask them to publish it in print or online. Got any other wretched gifts from her? Some old hard candies? (the kind where the plastic sticks to the candy from it sitting around too long) Toss in some coffee grounds and tell her it's the latest hot Martha Stewart trend to use as mulch.
I once got poop on a stick. (housewarming gift) The poop was recycled manure in the shape of an elephant. It was interesting to say the least. The problem was that everyone was compelled to smell it.
Ok, I have gone way off topic.
