How do you organize your tupperware?
I have a shelf full of tupperware that always gets jumbled, and almost everyday I can count on something falling out on me..
What are your tried and true ways of organizing these things?
Any products that help you, or homemade devices?

The best way I've found to organize it is to use it. LOL! What little I do have in a cabinet I try to stack inside each other and put the lids all together to one side.

I used to keep all of my lids in a drawer... near the cupboard with the containers in it. I guess it kept them all contained so they weren't falling out and getting lost.
I'd be interested in hearing how others organize too.Sherry

I put all the small containers in a drawer! It works much better than in the cupboard and is easy for the kids to reach. My pitchers are in another drawer as well. The lids? Yep, they're in the third drawer!

That's a good idea Lori! I probably have a lot of junk in my drawers I need to get rid of anyways, then I'll have room to move them there

Heather, Mine are organized by shape, the little ones fit in the bigger ones, etc. I don't have a lot of drawer space, so I have a large shoebox that I put the lids in, on their sides, again, smallest in the front, to largest in the back. It's a simple method, so that I grab the container I want, then grab the lid. Works well for me. Dd actually loves to put the tupperware away for me. She'd play in the tupperware cabinet all day if I let her!

Well ds who unloads the dishwasher is only able to throw them willy nilly into the cabinet. Then the special tupperware fairy comes and puts them in neat little stacks and the lids are placed in a small basket that sits on a shelf above the bowls.

I store mine with lids on in a closet. This way they are neat and the proper lid is always with the product.

I broke down and bought the rubbermaid brand ones with the interlocking lids. The bowls all nest neatly inside each other, and the lids snap together and stack or sit nicely in the cupboard. then when i take my lunches the containers snap together as well.
I couldn't take the disorganization inthe cupboard anymore!

I HATE not being able to match a container and lid. So mine are stored with the lids ON. It takes up more room, but I can put my hands on the exact container and lid when I need it.

I only have square/rectangular containers and put the smaller ones inside the bigger ones. I have eliminated all round containers because they take up more space in the cabinet and the refrigerator. Lids all stack together are right next to the containers. At one point a couple years ago, I got rid of all my mismatched containers at a yardsale and bought sturdy square/rectangular containers of 3 different sizes from Ikea. They all stack compactly. It was the BEST thing I ever did. No more fumbling or trying to make stuff fit in my tiny cabinet!

I wish I had some advice, because it's a constant problem. When we built our kitchen, we gave drawings and written instructions to the cabinet maker. We had to wait a long time for him to finish them, and when he brought them in, instead of building two large deep drawers for my tupperware under the counter, he had put in standard cabinets. I didn't make him correct it, so now I sit down on the floor every few weeks and drag it all out and reorganize.

I use dog food treat display boxes covered in contact paper to hold lids largest to smallest on there side so that I can see what is what...The containers are stacked according to size smaller ones inside the larger ones. I only have 3 small drawers in my kitchen..
