We just noticed this, gum is smeared all over my favorite baby comforter

What should I treat it with?

Is it ground in? Can you scrub it out with a brush and some dish soap? Does it have a nap or is it fuzzy? Is it laundered in??? Give a few more details. There is some stuff at the store called Carbona. It comes in little yellow bottles. I used to see coupons for it all the time. I don't know if they have one for gum or not. Try giving more details Heather.

You can also try to apply ice to freeze it and then pick it off, and also, (although this may make the problem worse at first) the oil in peanut butter often releases gum. You'd have to wash it thoroughly afterward, but I've seen it get gum off of stranger things!

    Thanks
The blanket is a smooth material, hasn't been laundered yet and the gum doesn't look ground in, just dried on really.

Goo Gone will take it out. It is kind of pricey, but it great stuff and one bottle lasts about 6-8 months and I have 4 kids. Gum everywhere. Goo Gone has never failed to get gum out of or anything.

aww shucks Goo Gone was free after rebate at rite aid last week...I asked dh if we used it he said "No".
I just KNEW I should've just picked some up anyways
But sometimes I just get too tired to go out that way for one thing that might not be on the shelves :eeks:

I'll have to give that a try if the ice or peanut butter doesn't work
