What do yo do with.....
What do you do with that leftover grease when you fry food (bacon, sausage, fried chicken, french fries, etc.)? How do you dispose of it? I mean, sometimes, I will reuse my bacon grease to fry potatoes in (gives them a very yummy taste), but for the most part, I am always stuck with how to dispose of the excess grease. And, I do reuse my french fry oil several times before I dispose of it.
Sometimes, I will pour the old grease in a pop bottle and make sure the lid is tight before I pitch it, but generally, I like to recycle the plastic pop bottles. If you pour the grease down the drain regularly, it would clog them up. So, let me know your tips for disposing of grease. Thanks!!!

I let it cool down then pour into an empty bag or box in the trash.

i use one of those plastic ice cream tubs (1/2 gallon i believe). they have their own lid. i just drain everything into it, then when it is full i throw it out with the trash pick-up.
i store it under the kitchen sink until it is full.

I am glad you asked I've been wondering the same thing..I'm always using napkins/papertowels to wipe out the bacon grease(after it gets hard) from the dish we cook it in.

I just save it up in coffee cans and discard it in the trash on regular pick up. I have never given it any thought, I wonder if that is okay?

You know, I have been trying to think of a way to get rid of mine, too. Thanks for the tips.

We do the same thing as Carolyn does. I let it harden in the fridge first and then put it in the garbage.
