Default Could Use Some Motivation - UPDATE!!!

UPDATE>>>Well, at least I was able to motivate dh! He gave a full box of clothes to his older brother, and filled up two boxes and 1 large garbage bag full of clothes that I'll be bringing for the Salvation Army tomorrow. I cannot believe that he finally cleaned out his side! Tonight, I'm seriously going through my stuff and adding to his pile. I'm feeling great!

Okay, I have got to clean out my closet. There are some things in there that I truly never wear (although, not a lot, as I don't have a lot of clothes...HATE shopping) but I keep justifying keeping them by saying "Well, if we get pregnant, I'll probably wear it while I'm on maternity leave because I'll just be home and no one will see it." So, I need some motivation to put some of this stuff in a bag and donate it! (Dh will be cleaning out his closet as well as he has lost 60 pounds and someone has given him their clothes that don't fit them anymore because they grew out of them, so he's donating the 42's to make space for the 36's.)

    Well congrats to dh!
Now for you. If you don't like it or are embarrassed by it, chances are you will NEVER wear it, at home (you would use it on weekends) or otherwise.
    Does that help?

    Woo Hoo WTG Robert!!!
Amy , I can't say a word to you about getting rid of colthes. I have promised myself that if I can't loose the weight to wear them, then I'll get rid of them next Spring (giving my self a year) All of mine are dress clothes and I invested alot of money in them so I wanna give myself a chance to wear them.

    Good Luck.

    Congratulations to your Sweetie!
Amy, just do it. If you haven't worn them in quite a while ,you probably wont. Just get a bag & get them out, don't wait. You know you will feel great after they are gone because it makes for a more simplified and organized life.

    Amy, WTG to your dh.

About the clothes, if you haven't worn them in a year, you probably in all likelihood, won't wear them again. Put them in a bag and donate them to goodwill. What you don't donate, take the buttons off and throw out!!!

Will look for the post saying you've got your closet all decluttered!!! I know you can do it.

Think of how easy it will be to find the things you realy do use. It will also be very liberating to do something you do not normally do, I say go for it...congrats to your dh. BTW, how did he do it?
