Default New possible friend came by today and....

only gave an advanced warning of stopping in of about an hour and my children needed to have lunch still. I was proud that my house was presentable enough to give a grand tour...including closets. I have been working harder at my cleaning routine.
I wondered is your home currently presentable for guests?
If not, how long would it take in cleaning time to get it presentable?

depends on who is stopping by lol. someone i am used to, like ericks work buddies, it is fine and presentable. for someone new, it'll take me an hour or so to get the house in shape for sure.

No its not presentable only because we are renovating. I couldn't even begin to make it presentable right now, so I would welcome them in and give them a hammer.

Normally, I keep it presentable. I really don't like too much disorder in either my home or my life. Right now its in both!!

well, our closet is definitly presentable, and *my side of the bed Dh's side is just always trashed

Our living room/kitchen is pretty okay, although all the entertainment stuff is around the floor since we are in the process of sanding it...

    ayla's room...trashed..

I'd say it'd take about 45 min. rushed cleaning to get the house presentable, including the bathroom etc...

I always try to have at least the living room clean all the time in case we get a package delivered, or if a neighbor comes over to borrow/ask something

The playroom was a mess. I had to straighten that up. That's a constant thing though. It got cleaned twice today. I think I heard the room actually sigh a happy sigh. rofl. I usually let it go awhile because it gets messy so soon after pickup.
I really want to teach the children to put things away nicely. It's so difficult!

Um no. Our house is not presentable right now. It would probably take me about 45 minutes to get it that way. That would not be including dd's room, dh's army junk room, or the spare bathroom.

Laci...I remember before we moved we had a Malcom Navy junk room....the guest bedroom was filled from one side to the next with his gear. But we bought this house and everybit of it went into the attic!!!

My house is pretty presentable right now. I would just have to pick a few things up and wipe down the bathroom real quick to atleast have it smell clean!!

To make it OK, give me an hour. That would be quick vac, pick up, swishdusting and bathroom.

If they are coming to visit me- come anytime, but no the house is not presentable.

If they want to see the house- I'll need at least a week to make it presentable.

It is ok, but it will be awhile before it is back to where it needs to be. We are also in the process of remodeling and the carpet is coming up, so you can imagine the mess we have. BUT you can still come and maybe give us a hand.

I cleaned for a week for my parents' wedding anniversary last sunday.... Only the kitchen and living rooms and the basement and the bathrooms were presentable...but our rooms... I just closed the doors and luckily they are upstairs...so no one went there, except my dad, for a nap...

I want to get better at keeping up with my home...That's one of my goals in september.

Yes it's presentable enough for drop-ins ... as long as I close my scrapbooking nook doors. eep!

I'd probably check the bathrooms, pick up the dog toys (they refuse to do it ) and not worry about anything else.
