night cleaning

does anyone else do their cleaning at night? I don't mean loud things like vacuuming. Like for me tonight after dh and kids went to bed I swept and mopped the entry, the guest bath, the laundry room and kitchen, did a load of dishes and put em away, got a load of laundry washed and in the dryer, got another load dried and folded. I still have some energy so I might go do the windexing of the mirrors. Then a shower for me, and off to bed.

I prefer to do the mopping at night so that I don't have footprints all through the wet floors. And it prevents the kids and dh from slipping on the wet floors too. And another bonus is that I can get it done so much faster when they are all asleep because i get uninterrupted cleaning time. Yet another plus is that it doesn't get messed up as soon as I turn around.

How about you? Do you do any cleaning at night?

No, I am usually too tired to do any cleaning.

sometimes but I am usually too tired at night, when I do clean at night I get it done quicker since they are no little ones who "need" something while I am doing it and it does stay clean longer since no one is up :~)

I try to clean when I first get up in the morning. I would clean at night if I had the energy, but once dinner is cleaned up, I have no motivation after that (usually).

I've read in another post where you were talking about cleaning after the kids go to bed. I'm trying to do this, however dh gets in the way! LOL Actually, last night he dried all the dishes for me, so that was nice. I usually don't last much after 10:00, and ds goes down sometime between 8:30-9:00, so I don't have much time!

I did some night cleaning when the kids were little, sometimes, but, not anymore....I don't have any energy left after 6....

For many years I did all my cleaning at night. It was much easier for me. I stayed up till the baby {heaven knows there was always a baby} had it's 2am feeding. I would get up at 6am & begin again. I am much too old to do this now.
