Help please kit, din, and fam
We are gonna build a house next spring. But I have to pick stuff out soon. Our floorplan had our Kitchen open to our dinning room(eat in kitchem) which is open to the living/family room. So the cabinets are gonna be darker like a hickory or walnut the kit, din floor will be a brown tan tile, so the carpet in the family room should be??????
Not to light cuz I do have 3 kids and a dog. but not to dark cuz the kit is slighlty darkish. I think I want to keep it neutral so I can change the walls with out changing the floor.
ANd if you have any ideas on what to do with the walls so they go together but not so it looks like a big bowling ally.
OK go!!! I am a horrible decorator I have such a hard time "seeing" things from little swaches and things.
Thanks

We have a sorta oatmeal berber and it's amazing how kid friendly it is. I have an area rug in the livingroom that breaks up the color a bit too. We have oak in the kitchen, but cherry in the diningroom and livingroom. It goes well with both.

If you need ideas I would suggest buying a couple of decorating magazines.....I know that they are pricey but you can get some really great ideas from them..........
