Chili Peppers...
I am working on the curtains. I bought some terry cloth dish towels with chili peppers on them. I folded them inhalf and sewed a strip pocket for the rod in the top folded edge and hung them as a valance. Even though they are not the ones that I had in mind, but they were only 75 cents each. I also had some checked black and white fabric like duck cloth or canves. I made a straight ( not gathered shade ) for the back of the window. Now I am gonna work on some basic black curtains to go over the shade, but i will make some tie backs with some of the fake chili peppers that I bought at the dollar store. I am also looking for 3 plates with peppers on them, or a way to make my own, because I have a nice plate holder that looks like wrought iron, (dollar store find also) Anyway, things are coming along slowly but surely. I am taking pictures as I go, but my digital cam is brokern
so I am waiting until the disposible camera is full then I will scan and post.
Next I am gonna spray all the light switch covers and outlet cover plates red!
I like it spicy!

Robin, Instead of using "fake" peppers why not dry your own? Hang them up to dry about 6-10 days so that all the moisture is out, wire them together with floral wire, spray them with clear sealant! I am going to try this with some grapes hoping this will work for me.

What an excellent idea. Melissa that fabric!!! Wouldn't that be awesome to decoupage some plates for the wall and have possible some napkins on the table that match
The table is only for two anyway!!! What a great idea, now Im gonna scout out some black plates!

Can't wait to see your pictures!
DH and I love hot foods and have chili pepper decorations here and there among my red, white, and blue kitchen. I was thinking of doing a wreath with dried chili peppers and blue ribbon, but haven't gotten around to that yet.

I have thought about taking some dried chili peppers, in my area they sell big bags of them for not too much money. Well I thought of gluing them to the kitchen clock. It is just a black cheapie anyway, I probably spent less than 5 bucks on it, so if I ruin it,,,what the hay!!!Ill let you know how this turns out.
Oh an about the plates. I have some VERY cute plastic clear see thru plates that have a nice edge. I bought them for Nicole's Dorm Shower and I have quite a few left. Anyway. I thought about spraypainting these black and doing the decoupage thing on them? Frugal huh? (scaring myself here)

Could you decoupage onto the back of the clear plates?? So that the design can be seen through the plastic?
