Default Feather Duster vs. Rag and Polish

What do you use? I can't help but feel that if I had a feather duster, I would be much better able to just quickly dust off the furniture more often and then do a REAL dusting with polish once every often. I feel like it might help my house look a little more kept together.

What do you use? Why is that your choice?

I do both, but I love my electrostatic duster. It's great for my tables. I bought a set and there's even a small one for Zachary to use. lol

My livingroom accumulates dust overnight and this is sooooo fast. It has an extension, so you can do walls, corners, and ceilings too. It's great for the tv and monitors too.

I'd like to try the lambswool type soon.

I just use the swiffer cloths. I can just do a quick once over with those.

I have both and use both as well. I like the feather duster for a quickie . I also have those miracle cloths. They are a quick way to do a deeper type dust as well and you don't have to constantly be spraying. Makes it go much faster. You don't get the smell of Pledge or whatever but that doesn't last very long anyway.

I just use an old rag (usually a piece of flannelette) every other day and once a month I use another soft cloth and Old English polish.

I use a feather duster once a week or so, and a cloth with polish (Orange Glo) about once or twice a month. I like the feather duster for a quick run-through of the house, plus it's good for dusting my zillion or so baskets. I really feel like things are clean, though, when I break out the polish-- the feather duster more or less rearranges the dust into the air & carpet.

I use which ever one is handy at the time I need it. I love my dusters though (especially on the fan blades and light fixtures).
