Thumbs up Bathroom is 1/2 way there

I've been "working" on my master bath for about 2 weeks now. So far I've found and bought the tile I wanted (at a fabulous price I might add ) which is travertine marble. I've found and hired a tile man to install it (couldn't dare try my first time out on this quality tile) which is now done and beeeeutiful. I've found and hired the man to reglaze the bathtub (old rose colored to match the toilet and sink---original to the house built in 1963 ack!) which now matches my new white sink and toilet. Next week I'll be painting the ceiling, texturing the walls (myself) and then painting them dark beige (I think). After that I'm looking to decide what to do with the old cabinets. I want to dress em up with some trim and paint.....Oh gosh I'm ready to have this done already. Anyone else in the middle of rennovations? This is our first major re-do here and it's been s-l-o-w. I've learned a little something about myself.....I don't really like people in the house....that don't "belong" here.....does that make me really weird?

~48 yr. old sahw, livin' it up in our empty nest, smack dab in the middle of everywhere.~

Wow, it sounds like it's coming along great Lisa

I am impatient and have to have it all done NOW. I'm currently working on redecorating my family room. I am not doing anything as major as re-tiling, just paint, new curtains, rug, etc. Tomorrow Dave will be hanging the new curtain rods so I can put up the new curtains. We haven't even painted yet, but that won't happen for a couple of weeks, so I want to get the curtains up now

Not doing any renovating, but plan to do some redecorating in the upcoming year.
I can't stand workmen in my home. I don't even like our water guy!
Your project is almost done. Although, it was slow for you, redecorating and renovations isn't something you want to rush. I had a tile setter rush and that tile was never right. They had to come out three times to regrout it.
You've had a good amount of time to think over your color selections too.
It sounds beautiful. I hope you'll post a picture when it's done.

I totally know what you mean. A few years ago, in our old house, we redid the kitchen. It took FOREVER and I was VERY uncomfortable coming home from work and finding 5 strange men in my house. It just feels wrong. However, the end result was wonderful, and I'm sure you'll be thrilled with your bathroom when it's done! I can't wait to see pictures!
