Defining Clutter
I find that I often have a hard time figuring out exactly WHAT to keep and what to get rid of. I hate labeling anything I have as "clutter." I found this list in Finally Organized, Finally Free by Maria Gracia that classifies what SHE believes clutter to be. I'm going to take a look around my house tonight and see if I can't put some more stuff in the garage sale box to make life easier, simpler, and neater for myself.
It's clutter if...
-it is damaged and you have no aspirations to repair it
-using it is more bother than it's worth
-you never use it
-you don't like it
-it is obsolete
-you've outgrown it physically
-you've outgrown it mentally
-it is too fragile or dainty to enjoy
-it is too good to use
-it is the wrong size
-it is the wrong color
-it is the wrong style
-it is uncomfortable physcially
-it is uncomfortable mentally
-it is not flattering
-it makes things more difficult
-it has no useful purpose
-it is too "nice" to useMy Blog: http://amysreallife.wordpress.com
