Default 5 Steps to Organing Success

     5 Steps to Organizing Success

We all want to save time and be more organized.  Start

2004 with these tips in mind:

    * Be realistic.  If you are a clutter bug you will not start

living an organized life overnight.  Organizing is a process.

    It takes time.  Be patient.

    * Do a little every day.  Choose one area in your home or

office to work on every day.  Give yourself a certain amount

of time daily to organize.  Reward yourself when your time

is up even if it seems like you didn't accomplish much.

    * Keep at it.  Don't give up after two days, two weeks, or

two months.  Giving up only ensures that you will not get

organized.  If you miss a day or a week, simply start again.

    * Learn how to organize.  Many of us are not born organizers.

Read organizing articles and books.  Visit Web sites.  Watch

the new organizing shows on TV.  Ask a friend or a professional

    to help you get started.

    * Make it a family affair.  Let household members help organize

their spaces.  Delegate daily de-cluttering to family members.

Set up systems and routines everyone can live with.

I need to work on the "process" more Angie....I keep thinking well when I get this all cleaned out then I'll be done....but it's sort of like weight loss isn't it? If you don't keep after it the junk comes back! Great post! Thanks.
