How often do you vacuum?
I do twice a week lately, although sometimes you can't tell 5 minutes later.

I vacuum daily, but only have the livingroom and diningroom that have carpeting. The rest is hardwood floors.

It varies, once a week for sure and certain, usually on a Monday, but also Fridays I often feel like a quickie run over the high spots and dog fluff.
I often leave mine out all week, in a corner of the liv room handy to pick up spills of dry stuff in the kitchen etc.
this is the etc:
I often like to pass it thru the fronts of the fridge shelves to delay the evil day of reckoning when I have to actually wash that thing out proper. saves an awful lot of chasing dry sticky little specks and bits when I vacuum prior to washing it out too.
And I like to suck out the charred clinkers that remain after dumping baking soda on charring stinking remains of some spillover problem in the oven after it all cools.
Not often, not even once a week, but it's nice if the vac is handy for those two chores.
If company comes it's handy for a pass over the public spots before they arrive, and it can be dumped in it's proper home in the hall closet then.

I vacuum at least every other day and sometimes daily. I have a 15 month old dgrandson and I want it to be clean for him. We're pretty fastidious about not wearing shoes on the carpet, so we don't bring in "outside" dirt. That makes things much easier.

That's my big reason for vacuuming daily. My little one is always on the floor. It's amazing the tiny little things they can find in the carpet. lol She is a crumb creator too, so if I were to let it go a day, we'd be crunching and stepping on a lot. Who knew a tiny square of graham cracker could create such a crumb mess?

Once a week for the whole house, more often for the family room. (Hint: do not put navy blue carpet in a room where a small child will create lots of crumbs!)

I also vaccuum daily! Our carpet isn't so bad, it is mostly the wood floors in our kitchen and dinning room......they seem to be big time dust magnets!!!!!!!
