Talking I told you all I was a pack rat!

I'm not sure if this is in the right forum, so go ahead and move it if need be.

I just cleaned out my linen closet. I got rid of .............................

    Are you ready????.......................................................

9 garbage bags of curtains, sheets, blankets, rugs and afghans. 1 bag contained an egg carton type mattress pad and another bag contained one of those upright pillows with the *wings* on it!!

Jack just took them to my little sister. I give her first dibs on everything and she passes it on to whomever wants it or gives it to charity.

    Boy this feels good!

My closet is now going to be used for storage, which is in short supply in this house. Hopefully tomorrow I will tackle the cupboard in the bathroom. That one is a nightmare!

I only kept 2 sets of sheets for the twin bed in the spare room. I did keep 4 sets for our bed, but they all fit in the bench at the bottom of our bed now. 2 comforters, assorted rugs that I use in the kitchen and on the porches come nice weather and a few pillows.

Thanks girls, and YES it does feel good. I am only starting!

In order to get that much stuff I did jempty another closet out too!

I was ruthless, I kept remembering what that one web site said, handle everything only once! I filled the top of our queen size bed 3 times with 1-2' high piles and just went at it!

Jack kept saying, "Hey why are you getting rid of this?" or "Don't give that away!" I said "Hush up! Did you even remember we had it?" His answer was no, so out it went!!

WTG Dee - I'm proud of you.

Doesn't it feel good to declutter. It always amazes me how much we keep and most of the time we don't even remember we have or don't use. Gotta love the decluttering bug.

I hope I can continue to be this ruthless, especially when I get to my clothes. I have enough clothes to dress at least 10 people once a week and not have them wear the same thing twice!

I pronounce you "QUEEN OF THE PACK-RATS"!  Wow! And how nice of you to take it all to your sisters.  Now you can visit it whenever you want!

My sister called me up and was thrilled to get it all. I told her to hang on, there is a ton more coming! And also a 19" TV that has been sitting there unused for at least 10 years! She is over the moon, her 2 TV's died within the last week! Talk about great timing!
