    Default Today, I...

...went through my kitchen cupboards (I realize we aren't there yet in the fling) and I tossed a bunch of old plastic cups, took out & boxed up some old mugs & glasses for the garage sale, and rearranged to make space for the glasses I ordered from Amazon. Our glasses were old and cracked and, quite frankly, we were embarassed to offer people a drink when they came over! So, I'm all ready for my new glasses! (They were a great deal, by the way...

This set plus 4 beer mugs (which we use for frosty soda in the summer!) for $25.00!!!

Yesterday I really went to town on my spring cleaning! All of my curtains are now ready for the summer. I washed and ironed them and put them back up. I have to say, they look great! I took all of my plate collections down and rinsed them in warm, sudsy water. I never even wipe them with a cloth or sponge. This is recommended by most antique dealers. You don't want anything to scratch or harm the design. I oiled the shelves that they sit on as well. The wood is unfinished, so it drys out during the winter heating months. Now they look so nice and the grain of the wood really stands out.

Today, whatever I look at gets cleaned!  Including the doggies!
