    I'm a member in my local group and get the daily digest emails. I'm amazed by what is given away- furniture, computers, etc. It's a fun concept and everyone involved seems to benefit.

    Basically, I just setup a yahoo group. I used the template they offer on the freecycle site and then emailed the owner of the freecycle site my info on my group.

    It's easy to manage. I have posts moderated and accept each one before it's posted. I live in a small city so I know it won't grow too large for me to handle.

    I say go for it. It's fun.

    I belong to the Springfield IL one (even though I don't live there, I work there). I've gotten tons of free books and stuff. It is truely amazing what people offer to give away.

    It's pretty cool. Someone on my freecycle group posted wanting foam peanuts. I have two gigantic boxes full of them in my garage. Can you say FLING? woohoo
