Unhappy Help! Neighborhood cat has sprayed both doors!

Help! A neighborhood cat is stalking ours! We have a spayed indoor cat, but this little tomcat has come calling and has left his scent on the area around the front and back doors....and ideas how to remove his "scent"????

Thanks!

If it's on a hard surface, door, wood etc, I have had luck cleaning with a bleach and water solution, then following up with Windex. For some reason the windex seems to zap any leftover stink and I think the amonia smell repels them too.

Febreze works on cloth. I speak from personal experience! I left my umbrella on the front porch to dry and the neighborhood tom sprayed it. Gack! I scrubbed it with vinegar and water and then sprayed Febreze on it. I am amzed that it worked so well!

I'd just do vinegar, water and maybe a little bleach if it's on the door or something.

If you don't keep him from coming back he will continue to "perfume" your doors. I just mixed some cayenne pepper with water and sprayed in on the steps going to the door. It will burn his feet and his mouth when he cleans and encourage him to go else where without causing any damage to him. Good luck!
