Found a way to win the file fight!
So, it doesn't matter how many times I show dh lists about what you should keep in your files and when you can throw things away, he CONSTANTLY tells me that he doesn't want to empty anything out of the files. He's afraid that we'll need it. So, our file cabinet is FULL of bills, paycheck stubs, etc. dating back 7 years in some cases. Anyway, last night I told him that now that we are moving, we are going to need some packing material for the china, etc. I told him that I'm pulling out the shredder and shredding everything that is over one year old (except the old tax stuff) and using it for packing material. That way, we don't have as many files to move, aren't wasting paper towels by wrapping in that, and I FINALLY win! He agreed.
