Question How do you get the sticky off??

Last Spring ('03), I found a really great deal on those big stadium cups like the ones you get at the football games....I stashed them away to bring out last July 4th --- and --- well --- forgot I had bought them altogther by then!

While going through some stuff in the shed I ran across them....
It gets up to 115° here sometimes....
I pulled the labels off with ease, but the sticky is still there & VERY, VERY sticky....

I've tried alcohol, nail polish remover, and WD40 to try to get this off....no dice....

It's so sticky that you can't even use them....I'm drinking a glass of tea right now & the darn stuff is so - well - sticky - that it has literally glued the cup to my hand!

I was hoping I could just wait it out & let it wear off, but I don't think it's going anywhere, anytime soon!!

Anyone know of any sure fire ways to get this off?!

I use Goo-Gone for really sticky situations Deb. I get mine at Walmart. Good luck with all that goo.

I think Carolyn and I were posting at the exact same time... It works for so many things Debbie....it will take tar out of upholstery without leaving a greasy mark too.

I agree..Goo Gone works and so does a spritz or too of rubbing alcohol. Rubbing alcohol also repels ants when you spray it in an area where they gather, it dries them up.

Debbie, if that doesn't work try to get some eucalyptus oil. I use that in our store to remove killer glue from some products we import from India, it works every time. good luck.
