what are your clothespins in?
I'm curious how others store their clothespins. Growing up, my mom had a large basket she used to haul the laundry outdoors to hang and she's just toss them into the basket when done using them.
I have a brand new package unopened.
Where to store these babies? lol

You mean you're supposed to open the bag?!
I have an ice cream bucket that I've attached a "dog-run" style hook to it (the kind with the claspy thing on both ends) and I hook the bucket to the line when I go out there....I also have an attached-to-the-wall coat rack inside my back door, so when I come in, they hang there!
I made a clothespin bag once out of scrap fabric & a hangar!!

My mom had a pattern for turning a towel into a clothes pin bag- with crochet trim, so I have one of those she made me.

I keep mine in an ice cream pail in a cupboard in our porch. When I hang clothes, I just take them out and put the pail in the wheelbarrel. I also put the basket with the clothes in there as well. Works perfect as I don't have any steps and I just don't feel like bending to get my clothes.

I made this...i took a childs hanger, bent in the arms. Measured a piece of fabric to fit around the arms. then I took a zipper and sewed that into the edges. i sewed that edge up to the zipper, then added the zipper then made a hem above the zipper on each side. This became my front. I then stitched across the bottom, and top, leaving a centered hole in top for the hanger to go through. I clipped a clothespin into the zipper opening there to hopefully show you the opening that the zipper allows when it is open.

Right now I have mine in a basket but I keep dumping them on my way out the door, so I am looking for some fabric that I like to make a bag something like Missy's.

I keep mine in a basket in the laundry room, but when I hang out laundry I put on a nail pouch apron, like roofers wear and load it up, this works real well cause the clothes pins are with me as I am hanging clothes

aww, thanks everybody! it was kind of out of necessity. I am only 4'11'' tall and the store bought clothesline bags are just too short for me to reach well on the line (I did a test run there at my mil's with hers on her line) It was an uncomfortable reach for me, so I knew I had to either get one that was longer, or make one. So that was my reason for making one and for making it so long. I love Jaynes idea! That sounds like it would work really well! I have a half apron that has some big pockets i might use if the bag doesn't work out for me on the line.

Mine are in a wooden box, made and painted by a very special person, at my aunt Francine workshop.
It's old green with a red, rust color lid...it's very nice...
Before my pins were in a bag like Darlene's.
Wow! I love yours, Melissa!
