Arrow Who's doing major spring cleaning?

We just moved, so not too much to super clean, but I do still have a lot of junk to toss out. My spring cleaning won't be too major, but I plan to clean windows and focus on these boxes I have been hauling with me for years now. *LOL*

    How about you guys?

    Sara

I am playing major catchup. I was laid off in July after working 5 years, then had a baby in November. This house really needs a good cleaning. I've started in the kitchen. Today I continued by washing walls and knick knacks, (water was black-ewwww!), and I even took the leaf out of my table to clean the cracks-another ewwww! Baby steps......

Yep, I'm taking the week of april 15 off from work just to do spring cleaning. I like to start with the outside- windows, screens, wash house down, front porch etc, then move on inside. I'm thinking a good, no-holding-back decluttering of some closets is necessary. Do you ever have stuff stored away in a closet that you get into often but don't see the stuff anymore because it's like a fixture? Well, I hope to take care of that.

And I purposely took the week off when the kids are in school so they aren't bugging me (they're teens - they're good at bugging me).

Actually, I am going to begin my spring cleaning tomorrow. I thought I would start today, but dh didn't have to work so I decided to wait until tomorrow. We have lived here almost a year, and there is quite a few things I really need to get done.

Just moved here too, in Sept, so I've been organizing and cleaning as we go along (it's so much easier to keep up with it daily than to do it all at once 1 week a year!). But our major spring thing this year is we need to get these walls painted (right now, it's just the white primer that's starting to rub off in some places. We'll start that once we can leave all the windows open during the night, which probably won't be until June.

There's a chance we might buy the house we're living in now (a rent-to-own deal ), so it's motivated me a bit. Hey, it's much more fun cleaning your OWN house, don't you agree?

Yesterday I moved the bookshelf from the living room to my bedroom 'cause it was becoming a serious catch-all in the living room, and I hated it. Now since it's not there anymore, we'll have to put the stuff where it belongs instead of tossing it on the top shelf.

I need to clean out closets, organize my kitchen cabinets, scrub the bathrooms (imagine what they look like after a week of stomach flu ), clean the carpets, clean the backyard, and till it for our garden.

I have been doing spring clean all this month of April, some inside, some outside with all the other house work too. I was laid off this month so I though I would try & get it all done. Got most of it done. Still need to go through clothes & declutter.

We have been doing spring cleaning for almost 2 weeks now, ever since we returned from our trip. Thank God that we came home refreshed and raring to go!
