Talking Time to organize the new place

I've been trying honest, but my napping schedule as well as having cable again have gotten in the way. However, my MIL (wantsabug) and fil are on there way here to bring us a few things....lawn mower, weed eater and garden hose....or should I say they are on there way here to bring Joe a few things...lol

I think that was the motivation I needed. I alway's seem to clean better under pressure. Don't know why, but I've alway's been that way.

Things are starting to come together. I took a few pics of the front of the house and the flowers that are already all over the place and I will post those as well.

I really think we are going to like it here.

Oh well....back to cleaning (i.e., throwing things in the closet to put up after they leave)

I put a few pictures in the gallery. I need to take some more. I've got fresh batteries in the camera but now it looks like a storm is coming up so any more I take today will probably be as dark as those were.

Well, we now have our lawn mower and a few other boxes of our things that we were keeping there. I was going to mow but the rain they've been calling for since Wed. finally arrived. Instead I am going to go thru the boxes that they brought and put all that stuff away and see what I can possibly do with out. They way Joe and I see it, if it's been in a box at there house this long then apparently we can do with out it.

What a nice house. Are you in a neighborhood or out in the country? How are your furbabies liking it?

We are in a neighborhood. The animals are loving it. Speedy runs around the yard a lot and it takes an act of congress to get the cats to come in off the screened in porch at night. We've put the litter box and there food out there so about all they do is sleep in the house.

I still haven't gotten the stuff they brought yesterday put up. I got started on it and your brother called and sent me out running errands...lol

I think most of the stuff in the basement is what we moved when we first went to Lumberton, I think most of the stuff from the last move are in the room at the back of the basement and there is of course a suitcase with winter clothes sitting on or in front of the sofa.

What ever you all bring will be fine, and I promise I won't make you work when you come visit.

I've finally gotten to the boxes that my mil and fil brought Friday and I am happy to say that I now have most if not all of my everyday china, my drinking glasses and water goblets, pitchers, vases and towels. DH good hair clippers as well as his electric shaver were in one of the boxes as well.

They did some really good guessing since none of the boxes were labled. I've got one more left to open but we should be set for awhile now.

You are doing great Kat! Jeff and I just gave some boxes of stuff to Goodwill that had been stored in the rafters of our garage since our move here 12 years ago! I did rescue all the kid's ultrasounds from them first though.
