Purell - well - my version of it!

I came to this "recipe" through some trial & error today & this is what worked quite well & seemed pretty darned close to the name brand stuff...
I like my version of it better though, as it leaves your hands feeling smooth, almost a satiny feeling....
Hope it works equally as well for you!

And for the entire batch I actually made, I multiplied this recipe substantially....

1 Cup water
1 Cup isopropyl alcohol
1 Cup aloe vera gel (clear kind - pump bottle - you'll see why in a minute!)
½ tsp glycerin
1 tsp of wintergreen rubbing alcohol - for smell only....

blend together...(I used my hand mixer)
it looks kind of soupy at first, but honestly, it turns out wonderful!

I poured it into some empty Purell bottles I had been saving & the rest I poured back into the empty Aloe Vera pump bottles - getting the most for my money!

If you try it, let me know how yours turned out!!

We've tested it with all the kiddos and even a couple of neighbors ~ they all approve!!

I'm going to get the rest of the ingredients I need the next time I'm at the store. What brand Aloe Vera juice did you buy and where did you buy it? I want to make sure I get the right kind.

I found the Aloe Vera Gel at my SWM in the sunscreen section...
It's "Fruit of the Earth"...
It's clear & in a clear pump bottle, which (as I said) worked perfect to put the Purell stuff back in to!!

Cool, I've been intending to make some for us......I have a little bit to use up first and will get some supplies when it's gone.
