    Talking Finally got some carpet.....

And did I mention it was FREE

When we first looked about renting this place the info on it said "CARPET" well when we got the key's to start moving it there was no carpet but a whole lot of the carpet staples still in the hardwood floors. Aparently the owner had told the rental place the carpet was dirty in spots and they assumed he would just clean them......WRONG he ripped them out.

It's fine with me, especially with the indoor animals because it's easier to sweep up the floor then to try and vaccuum the fur out of carpet if it is real thick. The only downfall is the noise of the dog since she paces back and forth a lot.

Well when I went home for my grandfathers birthday this weekend I got to my mom's and my step dad was having a yard sale. There in the driveway was a good sized piece of scrap carpet which is all we were going to get anyway to put in the living room. When I mentioned it, my step dad rolled it up and put it in my car and said I could have it and if he had known we wanted some he'd have given it to me sooner.

It's still in my car, waiting for Joe to get home from work so he can bring it in. I figure we will put this piece in the living room and instead of spend well over 100 dollars at the carpet out let for scrap pieces I found some that would fit perfect in the room we are going to use as the nursery for $20 at Wal-Mart but that purchase can wait a few weeks until paycheck number 2 or 3 of mine comes in.

Yay! That was a great deal- enjoy! (And if you think like I do, you've already spent that "saved" money on baby stuff!)

I had wood floors with my babies - it was awesome at potty training and sippy cup training time - just seal those bad boys and you are loaded for bear ( ie easy cleanups with lysol and paper towels). I put rugs where the babys might splat by tables they could hold when taking their frist steps and by the bathtub and toilet but otherwise wood is the best - plus it makes a great learning to walk sound (for your video camera) and as far as pets - need I say more ( as the owner of nine cats, five weezils, two dogs, sheep, chickens and horses!!!)
