Does anyone else get sick (to death!) of cleaning?
Is it just me or does anyone else get really, really sick and tired of cleaning house? You know, my kids are grown, my husband is not the picky type at all but I do like a pretty clean house (doesn't have to be perfect anymore, I did get past that many years ago) but I really don't like to clean anymore. I just have to whip myself every step of the way. I try to not let it get too bad before I start on it but sometimes I just wanna NOT do it!
Anyone else? (Ok I'm going to dust the bedroom now and vaccuum that part of the house.....sigh)

I don't mind cleaning so much-I just wish it would stay clean-I get tired of thinking the dishes are done, only to find another one 10 minutes later sitting there. Same with laundry-if I never fed or clothed them I wouldnt have to do either hhhmmmmm.....it's an idea.

The only chores I really hate are cleaning the bathrooms, laundry, and unloading the dishwasher (dd gets to do that most of the time

I am with you PrairieRose. I use to love spending a few hours on Saturdays cleaning, loved the way I felt when it was done. But now I just hate the whole nine yards.
I have even put away my nicknacks and tried to make the house easier to clean. I do anything I can think of to make my work easier and faster, like just not cleaning at all. lol

I clean houses for a living so I can definetly say I am sick and tired of cleaning, but the good thing is at least I get paid for it!! Hubby helps with our house, so that's a bonus!

I am still really young and my oldest child is the only living child and she is about to turn 2 next month and I have to make myself get up and pick up her stuff as well as clean up the kitchen, livingroom , the office, Bedrooms and bathroom and closets!! I also hate having to do the clothes but the only thing that keeps me from stopping is I keep telling myself that if I don't do the chores my DD will never learn to clean and that it will not get done since my DH works full-time and Goes to Bible School Correspondence Courses!! So I try to motivate myself in to doing the daily household task but sometimes I am just to lazy to do it and then I really want to kick myself for having such a messy home!!

I am having this feeling lately. I think part of it is the heat. I just have to force myself to actually get anything accomplished. I am hoping when the weather gets cooler that I will be more motivated.

I am getting more and more into the cleaning, I enjoy it right now. I have two kids and a husband that tear it all up behind me, but, I have some time to reflect on the day and so fourth while I am cleaning.

Oh my oh my LOL...the only time I enjoy cleaning is when I'm really upset about something, and I clean my brains out. Somehow it makes me feel better.Originally posted by mrsengeseth

Okay, this is just how I'm feeling right now. It's a never ending job that only has but a moment of aahh, job done. I swear that I clean a room and the next time I walk there it's upside down again. Very Frustrating.

I LOVE the look of a sparking clean home.
I do NOT love getting it to that point.
Nevertheless, I clean thoroughly every day, even washing windows, since our house is on the market. And once it is off the market, I'll relax.....Spiritual:

Hate cleaning, love a clean house too. So I clean when I'm in the mood and am very thnakful for my DH. Decluttering is really going to help my ability to clean quickly!!

Now that I'm home, I try to keep the house picked up & clean. It just makes me feel good when people comment how neat it is for having a baby. Before, I could care less if I didn't vacuum or dust. My motivation is thinking company could come at the drop of a dime (which does happen occasionally).

Dislike cleaning anytime but I get really frazzled with it in the summer when I have so much to do outside. I have 10 feet that are tracking in freshly mowed grass, dirt, etc.
Some days I just say to heck with it and only get out the 'power broom' for the kitchen.
I think all homes should come with a maid!! Robot or real...who cares.
