Have you cleaned behind your fridge-- or behind your headboard-- lately?
Let's just say that I learned the hard way.... if you don't move your fridge for a few years and then you have friends over to help you move it.... well.....

I know, I know, I should be doing that anyway, but I just hadn't gotten around to it for quite a while now....
Ditto for that little gap between the headboard of your bed and the wall.... dust and cat hair get into that space, even though that space was too small to even fit the vacuum attachments in there, there was still a thick layer of dust there along the wall.
So, consider this a friendly reminder to check those two areas of your home if you don't already.

I, too, discovered that in front of some friends years ago - I stay all over that now, plus it cuts down on how many hot wheels you have to buy!! (you also need to do under the stove, washer and dryer.) Just be glad you don't have ferrets!! No - you don't want to know...

Yes - well - I too learned that the hard way about a month ago!! When the movers picked up the headboard I could've died!!
Yes - good call Amy - we should all consider ourselves warned!!

I was just thinking about how bad it must be behind our fridge! Thanks for the reminder. Now I know what is behind my headboard, it's the place where the cats go and stash all their ''treasures" from all over the house. If you can't find something...look behind our headboard!

LOL! When we moved back in May, we discovered some horrors. We have 3 indoor dogs and it looked like a dog had literally exploded under our bed!

I have had the intensions of doing "Daylight savings cleaning". Meaning each time i replace smoke alarm dector batteries i would make an effort to clean under and behind all the large appliances and unde and behind large furniture...so far hasn't happened. I do intend to when i, myself, can move the items again.

Don't forget the washing machine!!!!
The repair guy moved it the last time we needed it repaired and lets just say he saw a few things I wish he hadn't! I am glad to have found them but I would have prefered to be the one to find them!

the fridge last month, the headboard must be back in the spring. Shoving the vacuum under the bed doesn't quite angle right up to the headboard. I'm pretty sure there are some awesome dust bunnies up there mating with the kleenexes that ALWAYS seem to fall off the top edge of the bed and breed down there with the dust bunnies.

Talk about embarrasing. I sure did clean out under my fridge. When the moving guys were coming to take my old fridge (which had died) and brought me my old one. ICK! I agree. Learn from our horrible example!

My washer guy is comming tommrow. Am I cleaning behind my appliances??? No way! Last time he was here he left my laundry room a mess mud and grease everywhere. I do behind them twice a year, and the fridge and stove every couple of months. I am sure he has seen worse, but untill he is ready to get on his hands and knees to clean up his mess he can look all he wants.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who's had this problem!

I've decided to let the scary monsters of Halloween be my reminder every year to pull out the fridge and clean out my own scary things behind all the appliances. In theory, I will do it more often, but, realistically, I think once a year will be an accomplishment!

I must admit, I have not done this with my fridge......I did do my stove(only when the repair man came--oh, I was so embarrassed--he said they see it all the time, but oooohhhh! wake up call! he also mentioned my fridge, and I just forgot about doing it) I shudder with the thoughts of what is behind/under there! I will do that within the next week!! My bed, well I know one of our beloved cats has that as her second home---what lurks under there???!? Well, that will be done also. Thanks for the reminder!!
