Feeling a Great Amount of Relief

Okay, one of the hot spots in our house has been the foyer since we've moved in. It's been the general dumping ground for everything and anything. We haven't recycled the newspapers in a few weeks and there is this bench that overlooks the downstairs family room that was piled high.

So, I just went nutso cleaning and while Rob brought boxes up to the kitchen and kept unpacking there, I went ahead and emptied the foyer. 3 garbage cans to the curb and 3 stacks of newspapers to the curb later, it's clean! The only downside is that now you can see the half linoleum, half scratched up Pergo floor that we found when we ripped up the carpet. Maybe that will motivate us to get going on replacing that, though.

I feel so great now that it's clean. Now when you walk in my home you see space, not junk. And now I don't have to worry what the parents of the trick-or-treaters will think when they show up at my door!
