Default My mission for the day...

Thank goodness I have today off. Man, I really need it. I have purchased lots of new clothes taking advantage of sales at mostly Walmart. New work clothes, long skirts and the like, but my problem is that I have NO closet space. My house is about 100 years old. I guess way back then they didnt have too much to worry about, but I am covered in clutter in this room.

My mission today is to clean and declutter my closet. I guess I will go and hit up Walmart or target for a couple of Rubbermaid bins to store summer clothes in. The problem with this is that I can wear much of this clothing all year long in California. I just made a trip to the thrift store about 6 weeks ago with lots of clothes that didnt fit me anymore because I lost weight. Today, I must part with more of it. I am going in with the attitude that if I havent worn it this school year...out it goes. I am an admitted packrat so this is difficult for me. Here goes nothing...

Good for you Robin and Congrats on your weightloss! Have you given any thought to the space bags? Mother gave me some and I love them!!! All of the clothes lay flat and stay clean and fresh!

First of all congratulations on your new "smaller" wardrobe!!

I understand your lack of closet space. When we moved here we had one closet in the whole house, in our room. DH made another one inside the front door for our coats/boots/shoes.

Have you thought of purchasing a wardrobe/cupboard...I know we can get them here at Zellers or Walmart for around $80.00-$100.00 CDN. The one I have has the bar at the top for hangers and two shelves on the bottom for shoes/sweaters...whatever you'd like. I have it in the hallway and it holds Delaney's dresses, the boys good shirts/pants, shoes etc..
