Default Anyone use essential oils for cleaning?

Anyone use essential oils for cleaning or while your cleaning?

My favorite these days seem to be Peppermint oil! The reason is it seems to keep me focused, alert, and keeps me going! I add it to alot of my homemade cleaning mixes. It stimulates the body and mind.

    More about Peppermint essential oil:

Antiseptic - It destroys and prevents germs
    Antimicrobial - It destroys pathogens
    Fungicidal - It kills fungus
Insect Repellent - Flies and ants dislike it! So do mice!

    Recipes:

    Lemon Mint Window Wash
    For the shiniest windows ever!
    Ingredients:

    Juice from one fresh Lemon
2 Cups water or Club Soda
    1/2 teaspoon Peppermint essential oil
    1 teaspoon Cornstarch

Mix all ingredients and pour into a plastic spray bottle. Shake before using. Try using sheets of black and white newspaper, it shines without streaking.

    Scented Baking Soda:
Buy a 2-lb. Box of Baking Soda. With a fork, mix in 50 drops of lemon oil (approximately ˝ tsp.), 10 drops of lavender, 25 drops of Peppermint oil. Use scented baking sodas for scouring sinks (works especially well on stainless steel, and other surfaces that don’t require hard abrasives). I've used this in my bathroom, and I've also sprinkled it on my carpet before vacuuming! Smells so good with Peppermint and Lavender!

Baking sodas rinse very easily, but to get rid of any leftover “film” follow application with a vinegar/water wipe.

    Linen Spray

60ml floral water (Orange Blossom, or Rose)
    40ml *Ethanol or Vodka
    15-20 drops of Essential oils

    Suggested Essential oils:
Choose non-staining essential oils for white linens, try any of the following: Lavender, Lavandin, Juniper, Eucalyptus, Rosewood, Rosemary, Pine, Peppermint, Petitgrain

Mix all ingredients together. Shake well before using. Store in a cool dark place. Product is best kept in a dark glass bottle.
*Ethanol is often sold as "Rubbing Alcohol." Do not use Isopropyl as it is derived from petroleum.

    Air Freshener

    20 drops rosemary
    8 drops grapefruit
    4 drops peppermint

Fill the spray bottle with 3 ounces of distilled water.
Shake the bottle prior to each use, and let it sit for about a day before making a conclusion that the aroma is too weak; the aroma can change after the air freshener has had time to sit. Mist lightly in the room.

    **Avoid in pregnancy and lactation
