    Default My goals

I have challenged myself to throw out at least one thing a day that i don't use/like/want. (LOL< no not the same as throwing out the daily garbage)

So far on Saturday I tossed a fake flower arrangement I had for all the years we lived here in our bathroom. All it did was amass huge dust bunnies in the petals that i could never get cleaned. It was cracked and had a huge chunk missing from the vase part...pretty sharp, therefore dangerous.

Sunday a few games missing parts that we'd need to replace to play..or get new games

Today some empty boxes and some holey socks.

LOL, Michelle, join me! It is kinda less pressure just deciding to toss one thing a day (at the least). And i have been looking at things differently now. Today i caught myself thinking...do i need like or want that? and it didn't fit into either of those categories, so i tossed out a bunch of sippy cups that had no lids, or were in bad shape. while i was getting a cup for my cocoa and waiting for the water to heat up.

Debbie, once i weed my way through my house i can be there. LOL.

    can I join you!!!

That sounds so much easier than a bunch of things every day.

THe other day I cleaned out a bunch of papers and stuff. took all my piles into the livingroom and organized while I watched survivor.

then today i have a lady coming over to pick up all my magazines. 3 years worth of 4 or so different mags.

I have been freecycling like mad too.

    its great!

isn't it fun to de-junk papers, mags and such??

On top of the catalogs i got rid of, i have tossed some knick-knacks that were past being cleanable (fuzzy items with so much dust that it'll never come clean, some broken fames and moved a bookcase to where it would better serve our needs. (i unloaded it first, moved it, then cleaned it and reloaded the shelves) Now i have a bookcase organised to hold my notebooks, so memories and pics, and such.
