Boxing Up Clothes
Oh my goodness! I can't believe how many clothes my kids have grown out of! As I cleaned out the laundry room yesterday, I came across bags of hand-me-down clothes for the kids. So, I washed them all and arranged them by sizes. Unfortunately, because they sat in the laundry room for so long, there were many things that didn't fit either kid anymore. Big lesson to learn from not putting things away in a timely fashion. Anyway, then I went through both of their closets and took things out that didn't fit anymore. From Julia's closet, anything that was unisex, I put in Patrick's room for him to grow into. Anything that was little girlish, I put in a box that I'll be taking to my sil's house today for my neice. From Patrick's room, anything that didn't fit, I put in a box that said "Boy - Infant" or "Boy - 6-9 months." Then, I put those boxes in the top of his closet. I can't quite get myself to donate or sell them yet. Rob and I haven't made any final decisions about whether or not two children is all we are going to have, so I'm going to hang on to them for a bit longer.
Anyway, at the end of it all, I have everyone's laundry clean and done and put away, and I have 5 boxes full of stuff that has been outgrown, and one of those boxes is leaving my house today to go to my sil's house for my neice. It was a very productive day!My Blog: http://amysreallife.wordpress.com

Too funny that you posted this. I just replied to your flinging thread about this very same thing. I feel a bit better knowing I'm not alone in not being able to toss out the baby clothes yet.
