Default I am decluttering and purging

I have spent this week working on my house. Earlier got the master bath cleaned and tossed some stuff. I got some things out and put 17 items on ebay. Yesterday I spent the entire day in the master bedroom, rearranging furniture, purging, cleaning and tossing.

As a result I have 4 bags of stuff to take to the Goodwill today and 3 bags of stuff I junked. Most of it was just 'stuff'. I still have a little to do in the bedroom.

Today, a friend's daughter is coming over to occupy the girls while I work on my sewing/craft room. This room is supposed to be my haven for creativity and relaxation, but it has become the repository for all things homeless.

So, I will be sorting, tossing, selling and organizing. My goal is to be able to scrapbook on New Year's Day in a fresh, peaceful room.

Tomorrow DH is leaving work early. I am going to ask him to take the girls out for a few hours so I can do the toy purge.

All of this is making me feel wonderful! I know I don't need all this stuff. Clothes I don't wear, craft stuff I don't use. Stuff no one has touched in who knows how long.

I just hope my energy and my back hold out! LOL!

    Woohoo! WTG!
Wow, your making me tired just reading all that. Good for you Cheryl and if you run out of cleaning & purging fun you have a friend in NY who'd love for you to come & visit.

Where abouts are you in NC? BIL & family live in Raleigh.

I bet you are tired, but it's a good kind of tired.

I'm about 40 miles west of Albany on about 5 acres along the Schoharie creek (more like a river, lol) Nice & quiet here with lots of wildlife to entertain you. I can show you when you visit later in the year.

Have yourself a wonderful day Cheryl!

LOL! We joke about the girls' room saying we are afraid for them to take their friends up there because we are afraid we will lose a kid in the mess!

Good Luck in the bedroom - set out bread crumbs to the door!
