minor delema
OK, we are getting ready to move in a few months...question is...as I organize the house do I donate the stuff or do I hang on to it for a yard sale the weekend before I move??
Ok, we live in a very cramped house without very much stroage space as it is...so do I deal with boxes of stuff to sell at a yard sale or do I just toss it? Tought about doing ebay, but I have never been good at ebaying stuff.
Any Ideas would help. TIAGrocery Challenge $123.37/200

I don't know what to tell you I am in the same delema, I have tons of stuff sitting around ready for a yard sale, but I don't think I can look at it all that much longer. I am just ready to give it to friends or goodwill or something, just so I can see my floors again.

Personally, I would donate it. I've done yard sales and will do them again, but when there's a lot going on in life (like a move!), the less amount of stress involved the better IMHO.

If its just sitting around and your not ever going to use it, donate it. Yard sales can often generate income, but they are a alot of work and where you are moving might not do well.
Donating gets it out of the way and you feel good that you helped someone else.

When we moved last year, I donated everything. I had tried having yard sales in the past and never made much money so it was just easier and made more sense to donate.

I would donate it to get rid of it, it sounds like you'll be very busy with the move and probably won't have much time or energy to do a yard sale

Jumping on the donate wagon.

You'll be doing a good thing not only for someone else but yourself. Your clutter will be gone and you'll have more room to pack & store what you'll need for your new home. Little by little you can pack and pile till you move.
Good luck!~*Darlene*~

Ok, took all of your advise...
This morning I dropped off 1 box of baby clothes to my DS's babysitter who is expecting a grand child in July and 1 box of little girl's clothes to a girl I work with for her daughter to grow into.
After work today I am dropping off 2 boxes of little boy's clothes and a potty chair to a friend who could use some clothes for her little boy.
Then I have a big box of clothes (like brand new) in my bedroom that is going to Goodwill this weekend.
I have a lot more to get rid of, but it's a start!Grocery Challenge $123.37/200

We are in the same situation and I'm going to be donating the items. We're tackling our garage first.
