    Exclamation motivation needed~~~

I need some kind of motivation as to do my challenge of cleaning the laundry room and cleaning out my kitchen cabinets! I know it must sound silly to all of you, but I really need and want to do it, I just can't yet seem to make myself get up and do it! I cleaned the house all day yesterday and thought this would be a good time to do the extra things, like decluttering! But my question is how do I find the motivation? Does this ever happen to anybody else??

All the time...it is much more fun to knit than to declutter, actually it's more fun to go the the dentist than declutter Do a little at a time, maybe one cabinet a day and promise yourself a nice treat when you are all done.

YES! That happens to me too! What works for me is a timer, and some good music.

I usually give myself a set amount of time on the timer, and crank up the music....and just do it! I know when the timer is done, I can be done....although I do find that the starting is the hard part...one the music is on and I've "gone in" I usually continue until completed, rather than just until the timer goes off..

Well I ended up just doing a load of laundry yesterday, but I ended up going to the Dr. too and am sick. So far today with taking my antibiotic I am starting to feel better. I made a huge list of to-do things last night that way I could pick and choose what I am in the mood for doing daily, I thought that would be easier, that way I can do something else if say I don't feel like cleaning out the cabinets that day. I put easy stuff and harder more time consuming stuff on my list too, so that way it depended on how much time I had too.

By the way I washed all bedding this morning and put back on the bed, and I have to make myself do one more thing off my to-do list before the day is over!! Two things daily! LOL (More if I could ever get off this computer!)

At least I am trying!! LOL

My best advice would also be a timer!!!

What I do is set my timer for 20 mins & it still amazes me how much I can get done in that time!!
Then I "play" for 10 mins, set it for another 20, etc.

That is what works for me. And then if my work is done early enough, I reward myself with some movie time. I love the lifetime movie network channel!!

No one ever said it all had to be done at once! Take your time. The goal is that it gets done...not that it gets done in a day! Rome was not built in a day! I think you're doing great! Hey, I'm happy when people are even thinking about organizing!
